The Pearl Approach

Our philosophy

At The Pearl, we believe that, despite the many disabilities imposed by Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other related disorders, people have a continued desire to embrace life, socialize, and feel independent and productive.

We strive to maintain each person’s strengths and abilities.

Our wish is to provide a program with many successes, few restrictions, and a balance between safety concerns and the need for independence, acceptance, and a sense of self-worth.

Best friends laugh and talk together, know each other’s personalities, and nurture their relationship. At Lakeview Lutheran Manor, we use the Best Friends model to care for our residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or related disorders.

In The Pearl, our specialized memory care unit, staff members are all trained in the Best Friends approach. This comprehensive program builds on the elements of friendship, respect, empathy, support, trust and humor. Using this model of care ensures the highest quality of life for those with memory disorders by making every day consistently reassuring,enjoyable and secure.

dedicated, specially trained staff who provide maximum attention
activity-focused daily routines to help residents remain active and independent
priority access to our skilled care facility, if needed
private dining area with nutritious meals planned by a registered dietician
unique great-room setting that creates a family atmosphere
spacious covered porch and patio
gardens and bird-feeding stations

Paying for your stay
